Chicago has announced plans to appeal against a restraining order filed on behalf of opponents to the proposed expansion at the city's O'Hare International Airport.
Judge Hollis Webster reportedly granted the order which temporarily bars the city of Chicago from purchasing land for the proposed expansion of the airport. The proposal covers a reconfiguration of the airport's runways and would increase the number of annual flights handled by the airport from 900,000 to 1.6m.
The city is also considering asking Judge Webster to reconsider the preliminary injunction, reported Reuters.
