Airline Industry Information, July 25, 2002
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
United Airlines is reminding its customers that Mileage Plus frequent flyer miles never expire, provided the member earns or redeems miles at least once every 36 months.
The airline has issued the reminder as the first 36-month activity period is scheduled to end on 31 December 2002, following the announcement of the change in August 1999.
Those customers who have no qualifying activity between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2002 will find their miles expiring on a monthly basis from 1 January 2003. If a qualifying activity is carried out a new 36-month non-expiration period will begin.
