British Airways has reportedly selected Goodrich Corp to provide cockpit door video surveillance systems for its aircraft.
Under the agreement, the supplier of aerospace components, systems and services will install video surveillance systems on the airline's long-range aircraft, including its Boeing 747, 767 and 777 aircraft as well as its Concordes. The systems will provide members of the flight crew with real-time video monitoring of the cockpit door entry and forward galley area.
British Airways is expected to receive deliveries of the systems this month, with all systems operational as early as September 2002.
