Following Vanguard Airlines' decision to file for bankruptcy, after failing to become profitable during its eight years of operation, customers have been stranded.
The airline has cancelled all scheduled flights indefinitely, however it is currently unclear whether ticket holders will receive refunds. According to the chairman, president and chief executive of the airline, the bankruptcy court will decide whether to issue refunds on unused tickets.
Seven airlines - American Trans Air, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, National Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Midwest Express Airlines - are reportedly offering discounts or other special offers to anyone with a Vanguard ticket.
