A Delta Air Lines aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing yesterday (30 July) after losing power in one of its two engines.

The pilot of the aircraft - which had been travelling from Orange County's John Wayne Airport to Atlanta, with 167 passengers and crew members on board - requested an emergency landing shortly after takeoff.

The Boeing 757 aircraft landed safely at Los Angeles International Airport, reported Reuters.
