Russian air authorities have ordered tests on all Ilyushin Il-86 aircraft, following the crash of a Pulkovo Airlines aircraft on 28 July.

The aircraft was carrying 16 crew members to its home base in St Petersburg, Russia when it crashed into woods shortly after takeoff from Moscow, killing 14 people.

Experts investigating the crash have stated that a faulty stabiliser may have caused the accident, and "additional technical checks" have therefore been ordered on all Il-86 jets.

However, the four-engine aircraft will not be banned from service.
