AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
China Southern Airlines has successfully developed a long-distance diagnosis and tracking system.
The system is designed to analyse information transmitted instantly through the ground-to-air data chain from the radio address inquiry reporting system. This process should confirm the code of any malfunction, allowing the maintenance employees to determine the solution to the error using related maintenance manuals.
The airline is expecting the system to increase security and reduce the amount of delays resulting from mechanical failures, reported AsiaPort.
