AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

German airline Lufthansa is planning to install video cameras in its aircraft cabins, in a bid to increase security on its flights.

The cameras will provide flight attendants with an early warning of anything unusual occurring in the aircraft.

The airline - which is also planning to recruit 200 armed sky marshals - will pay for the security measures using funds from its USD16 surcharge per round trip ticket.
