New Swiss airline expected to join Oneworld

The new national airline of Switzerland, 'Swiss', is reportedly in negotiations with just one airline alliance.

The airline has ended discussions with the Star Alliance and Skyteam and is now holding exclusive talks with Oneworld, the airline alliance led by British Airways and American Airlines.

An announcement on Swiss joining Oneworld is expected to be made on 26 March, Reuters reported.

The other six members of Oneworld are Aer Lingus, Cathay Pacific Airways, Iberia, Finnair, LanChile and Qantas Airways.
