Pakistan's President Gen. Pervez Musharraf has reportedly offered to lift a ban on flights from India, if its neighbouring rival is willing to do the same.
Musharraf imposed the ban on 27 December 2001 in retaliation for India's decision to ban Pakistan's national airline from entering its airspace after an attack on the Indian parliament on 13 December 2001.
The president commented on the ban at the opening ceremony of the 2nd South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Information Ministers' Conference, which is intended to promote cooperation in the region, according to The Associated Press.
