Swiss company Aviace AG has reportedly placed an order with Eclipse Aviation for 112 small jet aircraft.
Aviace has signed a letter of intent for the twin engine Eclipse 500 aircraft, which can seat six passengers. The aircraft - worth USD100m - are scheduled to be delivered between 2004 and 2006, however Eclipse has yet to complete building or testing its first aircraft.
The company is planning to use the aircraft to start a jet aircraft club offering service for frequent travellers to smaller airports not served by commercial flights. The club will initially begin in Switzerland and expand to other parts of Europe, according to The Associated Press.
