German airline Lufthansa will purchase Rolls-Royce's Trent 900 engines to power 15 of its new Airbus A380 aircraft.

The British aero-engine maker is reportedly developing the Trent 900 engine specifically for the A380 superjumbo jet aircraft, which Airbus is planning to deliver to airlines by 2006. Lufthansa will accept its first A380 aircraft in 2007.

The deal is reportedly worth USD750m to Rolls-Royce.
