Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways has reportedly selected Aeromedic Innovations of the UK to undertake a complete fleet renewal of its on-board medical kits.
Aeromedic, which will manufacture and supply the kits and contents to the airline, has signed a long term agreement to supply component parts, technical expertise and know-how to Cathay Pacific's local, existing provider of medical kit servicing, refurbishment and re-certification.
The kit and pouch have been engineered to fit into four different types of stowage areas on four different aircraft - the Airbus A330 and the A340, and the Boeing 747-400 and 777.
The airline is also planning to purchase a further 80 kits, which include a Doctor's Kit and Resuscitation Pouch which can be detached from the main kit.
