Air China selects CA's management solutions for its networked IT environment

Air China has formed an agreement with Computer Associates for its Unicenter and eTrust management solutions.

The airline - whose networked IT environment is complex and geographically dispersed - will use Unicenter Network and Systems Management (Unicenter NSM) to automatically discover and monitor networked devices across its distributed IT environment. The Unicenter solutions will also enable the airline to control PCs remotely and install, upgrade and remove software across the network.

Air China will also implement CA's eTrust security management solutions - including eTrust Intrusion Detection and eTrust Access Control - to provide end-to-end security protection for its IT environment.

The solutions are expected to ensure the stability and security of the airline's distributed computing environment, while simultaneously lowering the cost of its IT operations.
