Gulf Air forms agreement with Sabre for customer information service

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Gulf Air has formed an agreement with Sabre Holdings Corp for its Sabre Inform notification technology.

Under the agreement, the technology, distribution and marketing services company will provide Gulf Air passengers with real-time information on their travel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The information provided to customers includes schedule changes or delays, terminal and gate changes and cancellations, as well as airport, airline, city and country security updates.

To obtain the information - which is sent via SMS to mobile phones or via e-mail - customers must give their contact details to the booking agent, call centre or travel agent.
