US aircraft manufacturer delivered a total of 73 commercial aircraft during the third quarter of 2002.
This is considerably lower than the 120 aircraft delivered in the third quarter a year ago and the 112 delivered in this year's second quarter.
The single-aisle 737 jet accounted for over half of the aircraft supplied by Boeing in the third quarter. The total of 73 included 39 Boeing 737s; 11 twin-aisle 777s; six each of the 767, 757 and 747; and five 717s.
August was Boeing's slowest month since March 2000, with just 21 commercial aircraft delivered. The manufacturer has predicted that its deliveries for the whole of next year will be between 275 and 300.
