Two British nationals have pleaded guilty to charges of cocaine possession and attempting to export an illegal substance during a hearing at a local magistrate's court in Jamaica.
The two accused were detained at Sangster International Airport on Saturday (21 September) after drug-sniffing dogs alerted narcotics agents to their luggage during a routine check. Police reportedly discovered 500 grams of cocaine in the 51-year-old's suitcase and 750 grams in the 31-year-old's luggage.
Judge Valrie Stephens has ordered them to remain in custody until a second court appearance on 10 October 2002, reported The Associated Press.
