Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic join International Airline Program

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways have reportedly joined the International Airline Program.

The programme offers Centurion and Platinum Card members complimentary companion tickets on 20 international airlines with the purchase of First or Business Class tickets, depending on the carrier. Members can take advantage of the programme's exclusive benefits when travelling to major international destinations. The complimentary companion tickets are available from September 2002 through August 2003, and only one ticket can be used per trip.

Other carriers involved in the programme include; Aero Mexico, Aer Lingus, Air New Zealand, Air France, Alitalia, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, Continental Airlines, Japan Airlines, LanChile, Lan Peru, Lufthansa, Malaysia Airlines, SAS, South African Airways and Swiss International.
