Singapore Airlines is reportedly planning to offer nonstop flights to the US, catering only to first and business-class travellers.
The new service - expected to be introduced early next year - will be aimed at business and high-end leisure travellers. The service could be operated using the long range Airbus A340-500 aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery in December 2003.
The carrier has placed an order for five of the aircraft and has options for a further five, reported Reuters.
