AirTran Airways forms agreement with RECARO Aircraft Seating

AirTran Airways has formed an agreement with German company RECARO Aircraft Seating for seats for its new Boeing aircraft.
The Orlando-based airline placed a USD6bn order with aircraft manufacturer Boeing in July 2003 for 100 new Boeing 737-700 and -800 series aircraft, along with up to ten Boeing 717 aircraft. The order will more than double the airline's fleet by 2008.
RECARO Aircraft Seating is expected to begin production of the new seats in April 2004, with deliveries expected in summer 2004.
