United Airlines has amended its policy on non-refundable tickets, following similar policy changes by American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines.
Under the new rules, United Airlines customers with non-refundable tickets who cancel domestic reservations on or before their scheduled departure date will have one year in which to reschedule their flights without losing the value of their tickets. Change fees may apply.
Previously, customers had to cancel and have their ticket reissued no later than the originally scheduled departure date.
