Honeywell International to supply components for AVIC I's aircraft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Honeywell International Ltd will reportedly supply components to a project by China's AVIC I to build a small regional jet aircraft.
AVIC I Commercial Aircraft Co Ltd revealed last year that China will spend nearly CNY5bn on developing the ARJ21 - advanced regional jet for the 21st century - which is scheduled to enter service in 2005.
Details of Honeywell's involvement in the project will be announced at the China Beijing Aviation Airport Expo Exhibition in mid-September, reported Reuters.
