American Airlines' Florida operations affected by severe thunderstorms

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

American Airlines announced yesterday (28 August) that severe thunderstorms have affected its flight operations in Florida.

Due to the weather conditions, the airline is allowing its customers who have reservations for travel to or from Florida to postpone their plans and arrange travel on alternate dates with the airline through to 30 August 2003. One date or time change is permitted with no penalty under this policy.

Customers are being urged to check flight status by calling the airline's automated flight information system or online at http://www.aa.com.
