India and Pakistan have reportedly agreed to resume air links and allow overflights.

According to an Indian aviation official, the two sides reached the agreement during talks in New Delhi, India on Monday (1 December). The Pakistani President, Pervez Musharraf, is said to have offered to end a ban on Indian flights over Pakistani territory, which was allegedly the main obstacle to resuming air links.

The services were halted on 1 January 2002, reported Reuters.
