Two Avianca passengers assault pilot and copilot

Two passengers on an Avianca flight allegedly entered the cockpit and assaulted the pilot and copilot after the flight had landed on Sunday (7 December).
The aircraft had landed at Colombia's Bogota airport on a domestic flight from Medellin, when two passengers identified as Colombian business executives allegedly entered the cockpit and assaulted the two crew members. The men are said to have carried out the assault as they were angered that they were not immediately permitted to disembark from the aircraft.
The two men were temporarily detained and will face criminal charges following the incident, reported The Associated Press.
