Denver International Airport and the City and County of Denver have reportedly structured a USD60m financing package with Siemens.
The package is part of a USD74m contract that Siemens was awarded in June 2003 to install and service an inline baggage screening system. The new system is being installed in order to comply with federal security guidelines established in 2002 by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The finance package, offered through Siemens Financial Services, is designed to help manage cash flow and initial construction costs of the system.
