AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Northwest Airlines is planning to restart its daily nonstop seasonal service between Detroit, US and Rome, Italy. The Detroit-Rome service will be offered between 13 May and 29 October 2004, while the Rome-Detroit flight will operate between 14 May and 30 October 2004. The service will be flown using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

On 4 April 2004, Continental Airlines and Bakersfield's Meadows Field Airport will inaugurate service at Bakersfield with twice daily nonstop flights to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston. The flights will be operated by the Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft, which seats 50 people.
