A new Irish low-cost carrier, called FreshAer, is expected to be launched this summer.
Former Aer Lingus employees Tony Robinson and Dan Higgins as well as UK-based businessman Colin Gervaise-Brazier - the creators of the new airline - reportedly need to raise EUR22.5m in order to lease and operate four aircraft. The group is said to have EUR90m already.
Once operational, FreshAer is expected to carry up to 8,000 passengers daily from Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Knock in Ireland to UK destinations.
