AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight was unable to carry its passengers to the Netherlands after the floor of the cabin became filled with human excrement.

The aircraft reportedly became filled with excrement after the contents of two toilets - which feature vacuum systems to suck the excrement inside a container - were blown back into the passenger cabin.

The flight was scheduled to carry 282 passengers from Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles to the Netherlands. More than 160 of the passengers were transferred to alternative flights, while the remaining passengers were provided with hotel accommodation.

It is currently unclear when the aircraft will return to service, reported Ananova.
