US aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co is hoping to engage Malaysian Airlines System Bhd (MAS) as a working partner in its new commercial aircraft project.
Boeing reportedly met with officials from Penerbangan Malaysia Bhd (PMB) and MAS on 26 January to propose the idea, and has revealed that the feedback received from its Malaysian counterparts at the meeting was encouraging.
Boeing is planning to launch its middle-of-the-market commercial aircraft project in 2004, with the first aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2007 or 2008, reported the Business Times.
