A second person had died as a result of the crash of a small charter aircraft in the Bahamas on 13 July.

A nine-seat Cessna 402 aircraft operated by Air Sunshine crashed in waters about nine miles west of the airport in Treasure Cay, Bahamas after the pilot reported a problem with the aircraft's right engine. The aircraft had departed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida with five adults and four children on board.

Rescue teams were previously reported to have recovered eight passengers and the pilot, and retrieved the body of an unidentified female passenger. However, it has now been reported that two females died in the incident - a woman and a young child.
