Northwest Airlines introduces initiatives to increase access to web fares

Northwest Airlines will provide travel agents and corporate travel managers with more options to access its web fares after joining Sabre Travel Network's Sabre Direct Connect Availability (DCA) Three-Year Option.

Under the agreement, the airline will participate in the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) in exchange for discounted booking fees. Sabre subscribers will have access to all of the fares that the airline sells through any of its own or affiliated web sites, such as www.nwa.com, www.worldagentdirect.com and www.orbitz.com, as well as its reservations call centres.

The airline has also launched 'All Fare', which allows US, Canada and Caribbean-based travel agencies to have full access to the airline's web fares via their GDS.
