AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Three US airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines will offer customer's new frequent flier and lounge benefits from 18 June 2003.

Under a previously announced marketing alliance agreed last summer, the three carriers will sell seats on each other's flights, while members of their airport lounge programmes will have access to each other's clubs. Members of the airlines' respective frequent flyer programmes will also be able to earn miles on flights operated by any of the three carriers.

However, customers will not be able to redeem miles on the other carriers until later this year, according to The Associated Press.
