Qatar Airways places GBP3bn order with Airbus

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Qatar Airways has placed a GBP3bn order with European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
The order is for 18 aircraft and includes options for a further 14, however the type of aircraft ordered is currently unclear.
The purchases will more than double the carrier's current fleet of Airbus aircraft by 2008.
