Air Deccan places order for ATR aircraft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Bangalore, India-based regional airline Air Deccan has placed an order with European aircraft consortium Avions de Transport Regional (ATR).
The order - worth USD21m - is for four ATR 42-300 turbo-prop aircraft. The deal also includes a lease stock of rotables and the repair and overhaul of all major equipment and rotables for a period of five years.
The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered during July and August 2003.
