Sir Ranulph Fiennes suffers heart attack on easyJet flight

An easyJet flight was delayed on Saturday (7 June) after explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes collapsed on board the aircraft.

The flight was due to take off from Bristol airport for Edinburgh, Scotland when Fiennes suffered a heart attack. The 59-year-old was removed from the flight and transferred to the Bristol Royal Infirmary, where he underwent an emergency heart by-pass operation.

The incident delayed the flight - with 130 passengers and five crew members on board - for about three hours, reported Ananova.
