The Canadian government will not rule out coming to the aid of Air Canada as the airline struggles with the decline in air travel.
The Canadian Transport Minister David Collenette has expressed concern over the fragility of the industry and in particular how it is affecting Air Canada.
The airline recently unveiled plans to cut 9% of its workforce and reduce its fleet, while also seeking annual labour cost cuts of CAD650m, reported Reuters.
