AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
China Eastern Airlines will implement an Airlines Operations Control Centre (AOC) under an agreement with Sabre Holdings Corp.
As part of the agreement, the AOC will reportedly use Sabre Airline Solutions' flight operations products and consulting services. China Eastern Airlines will implement the Sabre AirOps Movement Control, Sabre AirOps Flight Planning and Sabre AirOps Load Planning systems. The suite of products will run in conjunction with the Sabre AirFlite Schedule Manager, which the carrier has used since 1998.
The AOC will help the airline ensure flight safety, minimise aircraft ground time, improve aircraft utilisation, and save fuel and operation costs.
