Honda considers introduction of piston aviation engine

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Japan's Honda Motor Co Ltd is to evaluate the possibility of selling a next-generation piston aviation engine.
Honda and Teledyne Continental Motors Inc will conduct a joint market feasibility study, looking for opportunities to market, service and manufacture the engine which is currently in development by Honda.
The engine runs on unleaded gasoline and would power small passenger aircraft.
