Due to the threat of war in Iraq, Delta Air Lines and US Airways have introduced a new short-term policy to enable alterations in travel plans without having to pay a penalty.
In the event of military action, US Airways will introduce its 'Peace of Mind' flexible travel policy, which offers a one-time change to an itinerary booked prior to the action.
Under Delta's new policy, all tickets purchased between 5 and 31 March 2003 may be changed without penalty anytime prior to 31 May 2003, for travel until 31 December 2003.
