A man was detained at Zia International Airport in Bangladesh on Tuesday (6 May) after ammunition was discovered in his suitcase.
The Bangladeshi-born British citizen reportedly aroused suspicion as he was crossing the 'green channel' with his luggage after arriving at the airport on an Emirates Airlines flight from London, UK. During an X-ray examination of his luggage, officials discovered 70 rounds of bullets and a bulletproof jacket.
The man is suspected of being a member of an organised gang of international arms traffickers, and may be involved in terrorist activities.
