British Airways' security staff conducted a meeting yesterday (20 November) to decide whether any action needs to be taken after explosions rocked Istanbul, Turkey.

The two blasts at the British consulate and the HSBC Bank headquarters killed at least 25 people in Istanbul. The blasts were apparently Islamic suicide strikes that Turkey called an attack against British interests.

However, the airline has decided to continue its twice-daily service to Istanbul as it is satisfied with security measures at the Turkish airport. The airline will continue to examine the situation, reported Reuters.
