A ruling by the European Commission on whether Ryanair has receive illegal subsidies from Belgium's Charleroi airport has been postponed.

In December 2002, the European Commission began a probe centring on a deal between the Irish no-frills airlines and Charleroi airport, 40 kilometres south of Brussels, as Brussels' Zaventum airport claims the carrier was given illegal aid.

A decision was due at the end of November, but has been postponed until at least December 2003, reported The Associated Press.
