Royal Jordanian airlines has temporarily suspended flights to Iraq, after a DHL cargo aircraft was allegedly struck by a missile at Baghdad airport.

The carrier has decided to suspend its passenger flights to Baghdad for three days, and is expected to resume flight after 25 November 2003. However, a spokesperson decline to say whether the move was prompted by security concerns after the DHL cargo aircraft landed with its left wing on fire.

Meanwhile, South African firm AirServ - the other airline flying to Baghdad - has said that its flights will continue uninterrupted, according to The Associated Press.
