Urgent action is reportedly being called for to protect the public against the risk of model aircraft flying over Epsom Downs, UK.
Last month a radio controlled aircraft crashed into the downskeepers hut and in August two people complained about aircraft which spiralled down out of control. The British Model Flying Association conducted a risk assessment after a 13-year-old girl died after being struck on the head by a model aircraft on Dartford Heath in Kent.
A new report is now calling for action to protect the public against the risk of the aircraft, which can travel at up to 50 mph.
