The supersonic Concorde aircraft is scheduled to retire from commercial operations on Friday (24 October) following nearly 30 years of service.

The British Airways aircraft will make its last flight from London, UK to New York, US this week after the carrier decided to suspend the service due to rising fuel and maintenance costs and a decline in passenger numbers.

Air France - which also operated the Concorde aircraft - ended its services earlier this year.
