Southwest Airlines replaces paper Award Tickets with electronic ones

Southwest Airlines is to introduce both Ticketless Award Travel and Ticketless Companion Travel for members of its Rapid Rewards frequent flyer programme.
The new tickets - effective immediately - will replace the current paper Award Tickets. Rapid Rewards members who earn a free round trip ticket by flying or receiving credits using a preferred partner will now receive an electronic Award Ticket automatically in their account, rather than having a paper ticket arrive in the post.
Those members with paper Award Tickets will still be able to use them until their expiration dates.
