Part of Australia's Sydney Airport was shut down for about two hours today (30 October) following a security breach.

Officials were forced to search departure gates in Terminal Two at the airport and rescreen all passengers and staff who had already gone through security checks after passengers accidentally entered a secure zone without being screened.

The passengers were travelling from a connecting regional flight when they accidentally bypassed security officials, according to The Associated Press.
