Midway Airlines to be liquidated

Midway Airlines is to be liquidated following an order from Bankruptcy Court Judge A. Thomas Small.
The judge ordered the liquidation of the carrier - which filed for court protection from creditors more than two years ago - during a hearing yesterday (30 October). The decision was reached after the carrier failed to reach an agreement with its 85 pilots.
Midway Airlines is said to have filed court papers converting its reorganisation effort into a liquidation before the hearing, reported The Associated Press.
