A man reportedly shipped himself in an airline cargo crate as he thought it was the cheapest way to fly.
The 25-year-old shipped himself from New York to Dallas in a wooden crate, which was shipped under the instructions that it held a computer and clothes. The box was loaded onto a pressurised, heated cargo aircraft and flew from Newark, New Jersey, to Niagara Falls, New York, then to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and on to Dallas, Texas. The man was eventually delivered to his parents house following a 15-hour journey.
He was then arrested after the delivery man found him in the crate. However, his arrest was for unrelated charges. Federal officials are said to be considering whether to charge the man with stowing away on an aircraft.
According to Ananova, the man could have travelled in the first class section of an aircraft for the price paid for shipping the crate.
